Renovation and addition
Already residents of Warren Street, this young family fell in love with a tiny historic and dilapidated house down the street, which had a very special front yard and unusual style for Charleston. Together we designed a rehabilitation of the front house and added a large addition to accomodate not only their two small children, but their grandmother and frequent visits from their parents—truly a family home. The addition is full of windows and open space for the kitchen and living areas, but great care was taken to keep the addition tucked behind the very special original house, allowing it to remain the star of the show.
